This situation may be more common. CoolpoTools does not recognize devices with the earliest firmware versions. The solution is to manually upgrade through the "USB mode".

The detailed steps of the USB mode are as follows:

• Restart the device (you can restart it by powering it off or pressing the power button 3 times quickly to restart), and enter the standby mode. (it looks as if the Pana is switched off)
• Maintain the connection between the Pana to your laptop and the Pana to the power source.
• In standby mode (note that the bottom light is not switched on in standby mode), press and hold the power button until a new disk drive appears on the computer.
• Format Pana’s disk drive.
• Copy the firmware file to the formatted disk drive (note: the name of the firmware should not be modified, otherwise the firmware to be upgraded will not be recognized). Please ask our After Sales services for the firmware file needed.
• Wait for the copying to complete, and eject the disk drive safely.
• Restart the device (quickly press the power button 3 times to restart) The device will automatically restart to standby mode.
• Complete the firmware upgrade. If the upgrade is successful, CoolpoTools will recognize the device.
