Mr. Joey Alcala is a former law student of the Juris Doctor (Law) Program. He has recently donated a smart webcam to the University of Asia and the Pacifics School of Law and Governance (SLG) in the Philippines to support the Universitys blended learning program amidst the ongoing pandemic.
The donation was a Coolpo AI Huddle PANA with a 360-degree conference camera that can be simultaneously used as a speaker. The smart webcam is an AI-based 4K conference room video camera suitable for Zoom Meetings, Zoom Webinars, Google Meets, and Microsoft Teams.
Coolpo AI Huddle PANA highlights the meetings participants by their movements and sound. This huddle camera uses Coolpos Meeting FlexTechnology, which stitches together a panoramic view of the entire room for easier viewing by both the on-site and remote participants. The sleek machine also carries four smart microphones, a 360-degree huddle conference camera, and all-surround speaker.
With regard to security worries, the participants can rest assured that no information is being captured or stored by the Coolpo AI Huddle PANA. Its usb-only connectivity safeguards the meeting connection against any unauthorized network access. Personal information, meeting content, and geographic locations are safe because the PANA is not accessible via internet access, safeguarding it against hacking and unwanted information-collecting.
The PANA would be especially useful for room setups, such as huddle rooms, hybrid workstations, and classrooms. A view of a large room will allow the remote attendees of the hybrid meetings to be more involved. Moreover, the 360-degree conference camera will ensure that the attendees in the hybrid meeting experience will get an equal opportunity to see, be seen, to hear, and be heard. More importantly, classroom discussions between teachers and students will happen more naturally because with the Huddle Conference video functionality of the PANA, remote attendees to the meeting can be added to the meeting in a more natural way.
The whole SLG community expressed its gratitude to Mr. Alcala. This donation will be instrumental in conducting synchronous classes and meetings, especially since the University has transitioned into hybrid work and class arrangements.
